Conversational English for Independence

This programme is designed to uplift and empower survivors with a low-to-medium level of English to progress their conversational skills and grow their confidence. By giving participants a safe space to practice, they feel encouraged to learn, safe to make mistakes, and assured of their existing knowledge, boosting their self-esteem. These vital skills will contribute greatly to their sustainable freedom and independence.

Below, you will find videos about each session. Whilst we don't necessarily go through everything in the session in detail, we do talk through some activities as well as introduce the 'why' of each session, how it connects with the overall experience of the CEFI, and things to be mindful of for that session.
