Why there’s no better time to join the Sophie Hayes Foundation

Image quote saying, "You could be a part of our growing movement..."

Change is in the air…

As the summer turns to autumn, we here at the Sophie Hayes Foundation are going through a season change of our own. For over a decade, we’ve been empowering women survivors of human trafficking and modern slavery, helping them to rebuild their lives by moving towards employment — and we’ve remained one of the only organisations in the UK that’s dedicated to this cause.

So, what’s happening?

We know we’ve been quiet lately. We’ve been busy and want to share what we’ve been up to, as well as where we’re headed.

  • We’ve made significant leaps across all of our existing initiatives. Our primary focus remains on our Employability Programme, which is making a tremendous impact according to the numbers:

80% of our graduates have emerged with improved job-search skills 83% have been able to forge stable lives and find financial freedom 100% would recommend the Foundation to other survivors

But we’re not stopping there. We’re kicking off a new cohort in October and strengthening our partnerships with organisations such as Ashurst law firm and National Museums Liverpool, offering even more pathways for our participants to gain work experience.

  • We’re raising our voice. We care about amplifying the voices of survivors and issues surrounding their sustainable freedom. You’ll be hearing from us through a lot more digital media, so follow our social media accounts, subscribe to our newsletter, and watch this space — we’ve got much more coming your way.

  • We’re expanding our purpose-driven team. Our people are at the heart of everything we do, turning the Foundation’s vision into a reality with their remarkable talents and skills. Over the summer, we’ve welcomed Christina to our London Employability Programme team, taken on Nicole as our Digital Content Creator, and we’re continuing to expand as we ramp up our efforts. You could be a part of our growing movement...

We’re looking for exceptional talent to make an extraordinary impact.

Are you a changemaker? As we enter this new phase, we’re seeking people who align with our culture of inclusion, integrity, and initiative — and we're currently on the lookout for a Head of Development & Communications and a Partnerships Manager.

If becoming a catalyst for good resonates with you, explore the latest opportunities on our Jobs page. You’ll be gaining a profound sense of purpose within a team that supports each other’s growth and development.

The seasons are changing, and we at the Sophie Hayes Foundation are filled with anticipation for what lies ahead. So come along on our journey and make us a part of yours.

Best wishes,

The Sophie Hayes Foundation team
