My Message to Humans this Valentine’s Day

A poem by our Programme Graduate, Ene

Dear Human,

On this day of love, I pause — not just for romance, not just for flowers or candlelight — but for you.

You are living in a time that can feel overwhelming. The noise is loud. Expectations are heavy. The world moves fast, and sometimes your heart struggles to keep up. Yet beneath all of that pressure, there is something beautifully simple that still defines you: the desire to love and to be loved.

To the one who feels invisible — you matter more than you realize.

To the one fighting silent battles — your strength is greater than your fear.

To the one who has loved and lost — your heart is still brave enough to love again.

To the one who feels broken — healing is already happening within you.

Love is not limited to grand gestures or perfect moments.

It lives in forgiveness when anger feels easier.

It lives in patience when frustration rises.

It lives in small acts of kindness that no one applauds.

It lives in listening — truly listening — when someone needs to be heard.

Human, you are imperfect — but that is part of your beauty.

You stumble, yet you rise.

You hurt, yet you heal.

You doubt, yet you continue forward.

There is courage in your vulnerability. There is strength in your softness. There is hope in your willingness to try again, even after disappointment. Every time you choose compassion over cruelty, understanding over judgment, and empathy over indifference, you make the future brighter.

Love louder than hate.

Choose peace over pride.

Offer grace — not only to others, but to yourself.

You are not defined by your mistakes. You are not limited by your past. You are constantly becoming — learning, growing, evolving. Even on the days when you feel small, your capacity for love is vast.

If you are reading this, remember: you are worthy of love exactly as you are. Not when you are perfect. Not when you achieve more. Not when you prove yourself. But now.

Today, let your heart be gentle.

Let your words be kind.

Let your actions reflect the goodness that already lives within you.

Happy Valentine’s Day.

May you grow softer where life has hardened you.

May you grow braver where fear has silenced you.

And may you always remember that love — in its quiet, steady form — begins with you.
