My story breaks stereotypes and preconceptions to show a startling reality:

As a British girl I was trafficked from the UK to Italy by a close friend for the purposes of sexual exploitation. I was fooled and deceived by a man who said that he loved me. For people like him my life meant nothing, I was a product and a vehicle to make money, but I am a survivor.
Since my ordeal I have been determined to turn the experience into a positive one, everyone deserves freedom and their basic human rights, and although he stole my freedom, I am determined to do everything in my power to make a difference and share a story of Hope to others.

Set up in 2011 by Sophie, a British girl trafficked to Italy for sexual exploitation, the Sophie Hayes Foundation provides confidence and employability workshops, placements, training and education opportunities that help survivors of trafficking rebuild their lives.

Do you love me...

All I want to do is make you happy...

If you love me you will make sacrifices...

You will repay my debts for me...

You are mine now, your life belongs to me..."

This could happen to anyone! Sophie could be your sister, your daughter, your friend, your neighbour,
